Peter Segerstrom is a musician and visual artist living and working in New York. He received his MFA in Digital Media from the Rhode Island School of Design. His work plays with the ignored and vacuous elements of the everyday.

I am interested in popular culture.

But the word popular can be misleading when we consider what is both common and ignored. My work plays in the fields where attention and distraction bloom and decay.

I work in the in-between states, the point where we find ourselves unconsciously looking at something or suddenly notice what it is we have been ignoring.
